Hey everyone! I have an exciting build for you all! Today I'm excited to share my dual spear build with you all, which has quickly become my mainstay as I've discovered that spears are not only effective, but also really cool! This guide is for new players, so I'll be breaking everything down step by step while making sure you can get the most out of Throne and Liberty Lucent, too. Whether you're in the heat of battle or exploring vast landscapes, this build will help you thrive on your adventures!
Why Dual Spear Dracania?
I’m calling this build the Dual Spear Dracania because it reminds me of the Dracania class from Black Desert when using the Tex Blood Speck. The gameplay feels somewhat similar, especially with the spear’s flame effects. However, unlike the Dracania, the spear class lacks spear-throwing skills but does feature a powerful leap attack.
Recommended Weapons
For my spear selection, I chose the Heroic Spear and Shol Harpoon. The Shol Harpoon offers an impressive hit chance and boasts the highest base damage among all spears. The Heroic Spear, on the other hand, provides great range and dexterity, both essential for maximizing our damage output.
Rune Synergies
Both weapons benefit from synergies focusing on dexterity and attack speed. My goal is to reach the 70 dexterity bracket, ensuring that I can utilize my skills effectively, similar to my previous dual dagger build.
Armor Choices
For armor, I prefer the Shadow Harvester Mask and Gloves for their cooldown reduction and critical bonuses. Although I don’t focus on the foret effect, the spear inherently offers many attack speed buffs.
Next up, I recommend Divine Justicar for the remaining armor pieces. This set enhances wisdom, providing cooldown reduction and mana recovery, which is crucial since you’ll likely run into mana issues during battles. The Divine Justicar Armor also grants a better chance to weaken enemies, making it easier to stack ignite effects.
After acquiring the Divine Justicar Pants, I was pleased to find that they not only provide sufficient dexterity to hit the 70 bracket but also enhance crit chance.
Accessory Decisions
For accessories, the Templar Choker is my go-to choice due to its mana recovery and cooldown reduction properties. It complements the mana-hungry nature of this build. I also prefer the Dark Saraf Ring over the Sapphire Ring, as it enhances mana recovery without requiring perception, which is less critical for a spear build.
The Eldrick Ice Band adds valuable dexterity and weak enchant benefits, which are vital for our flame skills. Lastly, I’m opting for the Spectral Skulls Belt, ensuring I maintain enough dexterity to stay within the 70 bracket.
Stat Prioritization
Overall, my aim is to stack over 1,000 crit chance, as most spear skills and passives heavily rely on crit damage to activate their effects. It’s essential to achieve the following stat thresholds:
· 70 Dexterity
· 50 Wisdom
· 30 Strength
This setup ensures cooldown reduction and health, providing the survivability needed to tackle challenging mechanics.
Specialization Setup
My specialization setup focuses on skills that enhance both mob-clearing efficiency and single-target damage. I chose Culling Arc over Flaming Arc for easier burst debuff stacking, which empowers Explosive Fury. Remember, ignite and burst debuffs only stack on critical hits, so maximizing crit chance is crucial.
Key Skills
1. Sentinel Bastion: This skill acts as a crucial defense. Use it first to absorb damage and prevent instant death.
2. Bloodlust Aura: This skill provides healing while your barrier holds the damage.
3. Gail Rush: Offers an attack speed buff, helping to increase DPS.
4. Culling Arc: Apply burst stacks with this skill for enhanced damage.
5. Explosive Fury: Hold down the quick slot for constant damage output.
6. Abyssal Cleave: Grants significant crit damage buffs.
7. Phoenix Barrage: Use this to deal damage, but only after Abyssal Cleave is off cooldown for maximum effectiveness.
If you’re at or below nine ignite stacks after using Phoenix Barrage, spam Rising SL twice. If you lose your ignite stacks, switch to using Javelin Inferno instead.
