Throne and Liberty: The Two-Star Dungeon - Terot Island

1. Arena Overview & Initial Setup

At first glance, the Two-Star Dungeon arena looks quite similar to the One-Star Dungeon, with four gazers and a variety of flowers scattered around. The key difference lies in how you interact with the flowers: at the start, each player should walk to a flower to signal that it’s theirs. This marks the beginning of your strategy, as flowers play a crucial role in later phases of the fight.

Make sure to mark your flowers with party pins at the start to easily identify them later, as they’ll be essential in dodging attacks and dealing with specific boss mechanics.

2. Understanding the New Boss Mechanics

The boss fight on Terot Island is a much more intense version of the Tyrant Isle encounter. In addition to the usual Fury attacks (signaled by a pink circle), the boss now also performs WTH attacks, which are marked by a pink diamond. The key difference here is that Fury attacks can be blocked with a stand block or a movement block, but WTH attacks can only be avoided using a movement block.

Be mindful of this distinction, as it’s crucial to block the correct type of attack with the appropriate method. Familiarize yourself with these mechanics early on to avoid unnecessary deaths.

3. Fireball Attack and Stun Recovery

One of the first major mechanics to deal with is the Fireball Attack, where the boss shoots four fireballs at the player with the highest aggro (usually the tank). The first three fireballs can be blocked with a movement or stand block, but the fourth fireball will stun the tank and push them back. This creates a vulnerability for the tank, as they won’t be able to block the subsequent Fury attack.

To solve this problem, it’s important to have a Bow player in your group who can use Purifying Touch to cleanse the stun from the tank, allowing them to properly block the Fury attack that follows.

If you're a DPS player and you get hit by the Fireballs instead of the tank, remember to block the first three fireballs and rely on your Bow player to cleanse the stun so you can continue to contribute to the fight.

4. Meteor Phase and Clearing the Smoke

As the fight progresses, the boss will drop three meteors onto the ground, dealing substantial damage. Avoid standing in these areas at all costs. After this, the arena will fill with smoke, and the boss will disappear for a short period.

During this phase, the gazers and flowers will be obscured by the smoke. The key here is to ignite yourself by walking through the burning areas left by the meteors. While ignited, you can clear the smoke around the gazers, which is vital for the next phase of the fight.

Mark your gazers at the beginning of the fight to make it easier to find them when the smoke is cleared. Once the smoke is gone, your team can proceed to clear the gazers without confusion.

5. Gazer Activation and AOE Dodging

After the smoke is cleared and the meteors finish falling, one of the four gazers will activate. When the gazer starts bubbling, one player will be launched into the air to avoid the AOE attack the boss performs on the ground. This is very similar to the mechanics in the One-Star Dungeon, but with more intensity. When the boss reaches below 50% HP, it will perform two AOE attacks in quick succession, which means there will be two bubbling gazers that players need to interact with.

As soon as you are knocked into the air by the first bubbling gazer, keep an eye out for the second one and head there quickly to avoid the next AOE attack. It’s essential to stay coordinated with your team to avoid both the AOE damage and the stun from the Fireball attack.

6. Final Phase: The Red Transformation

Once the boss is below 50% HP, it will initiate its final and most dramatic mechanic. All players will be pulled toward the boss and transformed into Reds. As a Red, your only ability is to move around and dig into the ground.

During this phase, four comets will appear around the boss. These comets form a cycle that you should avoid crossing. Your objective as a Red is to survive for 15 seconds by staying inside the comet circle. However, you cannot all dig into the ground at the same time, as this will trigger an AOE attack that will force everyone out of the ground and make it easier for the boss to eat you.

To survive this phase, you should wait for the boss to approach you, and just before he is about to eat you, dig into the ground. Continue this process until the 15 seconds are up, after which the comets will disappear, and you can return to your flower to be transformed back.

Important Tip: The boss will become somewhat invisible after reaching 50% HP, so keep an eye on his movements and be prepared to adapt to the new challenge.

7. Summary of Key Mechanics

· Fury and WTH Attacks: Block Fury with a stand or movement block, and WTH with only a movement block.

· Fireball Attack: Fireballs will hit the tank first. The fourth fireball stuns the tank, requiring a Bow player with Purifying Touch to cleanse.

· Meteors & Smoke: Avoid meteors and ignite yourself to clear smoke over gazers. Mark the gazers with party pins to make them easier to locate.

· Gazer Interaction: One gazer will bubble, and you will be knocked into the air to dodge an AOE attack. After 50% HP, the boss performs two AOE attacks, so be ready for the second bubbling gazer.

· Red Transformation: Avoid the comet circle and survive by digging into the ground, switching between players to avoid getting eaten by the boss.

By mastering these advanced mechanics and staying coordinated with your team, you’ll be able to defeat the boss and claim your rewards on Terot Island in no time. Good luck!
