Throne and Liberty Field Boss: Grand Aelon Event Guide

Overview of the Grand Aelon Event

The Grand Aelon event takes place on October 19th and is part of a larger series of dynamic events designed to challenge even the most seasoned players. Grand Aelon, known as the Maddened Master of the Forest, has risen to exact revenge for the destruction humanity has wrought upon nature. This colossal boss fight requires players to cooperate and strategize in order to bring down Aelon and claim valuable rewards, including the highly coveted Precious Accessory Growth Stones and other unique event loot.

While this event is primarily focused on taking down Grand Aelon, it's important to understand that it's not just about the boss fight itself. There are additional event milestones, such as the Resistance Contracts and Purification Efforts, which are critical for both preparing your guild and earning bonus rewards.

 Understanding the Grand Aelon Fight

Before jumping into the battlefield, let's take a closer look at the boss himself: Grand Aelon. As an ancient protector of the forests, he draws his power from nature itself, using the elements and flora to strike down his enemies. His size alone is intimidating, but it's his versatile attack patterns and powerful AoE abilities that make him a serious threat to any unprepared group of players.

Here are the primary mechanics and abilities Grand Aelon will use throughout the encounter:

 1. Forest Fury

Grand Aelon's basic attack unleashes the power of the forest itself, calling forth thorny vines from the ground to lash out at nearby players. This AoE cleave attack is devastating, so tanks need to position Aelon away from the main group to minimize collateral damage.

Strategy: Tanks should kite Aelon to less crowded areas of the battlefield, away from ranged DPS and healers. Melee DPS should avoid standing in front of him as his cleave hits hard and applies a bleed debuff.

 2. Elemental Wrath

As the Maddened Master of the Forest, Aelon commands the elements to his will. He periodically casts Elemental Wrath, summoning storms of fire, wind, and ice to bombard the battlefield. Each element creates dangerous environmental hazards that can severely damage players caught in their wake.

Strategy: Players must stay on the move to avoid these hazardous areas. Assign a healer or two to provide mobility buffs to help your team reposition quickly. It's also important to spread out to minimize the number of players hit by the AoE damage.

 3. Vine Cage

One of Aelon's most disruptive abilities, Vine Cage targets random players and encases them in a tight web of vines, immobilizing them for 10 seconds. During this time, the trapped player cannot use any abilities or items and is vulnerable to Aelon's attacks.

Strategy: Designate players with strong crowd control abilities or skills that can break immobilizing effects to free those trapped in Vine Cages as quickly as possible. If your healers are caged, your team will quickly fall behind in healing, so make sure to prioritize freeing support players.

 4. Nature's Resurgence

At 50% health, Grand Aelon enters his second phase, activating Nature's Resurgence. In this phase, he summons waves of powerful treants and forest spirits to fight alongside him. These adds will swarm players and apply stacking poison effects that deal damage over time.

Strategy: Assign a few DPS to focus on taking down the summoned treants and forest spirits as quickly as possible. If left unchecked, the poison stacks can overwhelm your healers. The offtank should focus on drawing aggro from these adds to allow DPS to clear them effectively.

 5. Maddened Howl

As his health nears 25%, Aelon will cast Maddened Howl, a massive areawide ability that stuns all players for 5 seconds and increases his attack speed by 50%. This is his final and most dangerous phase, where his attacks become faster and more lethal.

Strategy: Use any available immunity abilities or defensive cooldowns to mitigate the damage from this final phase. Make sure that your tanks are using highdurability shields or cooldowns to withstand the onslaught. Healers will need to focus on keeping everyone alive through rapid healing and cleansing of debuffs.

 Recommended Team Composition

To maximize your chances of success, it's important to bring a wellbalanced team into the fight. Here's an ideal setup for taking down Grand Aelon:

Main Tank: A durable tank (Paladin or Warrior) with strong mitigation abilities and crowd control resistance will be crucial for holding Aelon's attention while minimizing damage to the rest of the group.

OffTank: An offtank to handle the summoned adds during the second phase is essential. The offtank should be able to kite and mitigate poison damage effectively.

Healers: At least two strong healers with AoE healing and cleanse abilities. Druids and Priests work well due to their ability to rapidly heal through heavy damage phases.

Ranged DPS: Ranged DPS such as Mages, Warlocks, and Hunters are key for staying safe during the chaotic phases and continuing to deal damage from a distance.

Melee DPS: Melee DPS should be nimble and capable of high burst damage during the final phase. Rogues and Monks excel in this role due to their mobility and damage output.

Milestone: Maddened Master of the Forest

As part of the Grand Aelon event, players have the opportunity to earn 5 Precious Accessory Growth Stones by completing the milestone titled Maddened Master of the Forest. These stones are critical for enhancing your gear and boosting your combat effectiveness in future battles. To earn this reward, you and your guild must successfully defeat Grand Aelon within the allotted time frame.

Additional Milestones: Resistance Contracts and Purification Efforts

While waiting for Grand Aelon to spawn, your guild can complete side objectives that will further enhance your rewards. Specifically, the Resistance Contracts on Purelight Hill and the milestone Purification Efforts are essential for gathering materials and preparing for the main event.

 Resistance Contracts on Purelight Hill

During the downtime before the Grand Aelon fight, your guild can complete Resistance Contracts in the Purelight Hill region. These contracts involve defending key points from enemy invasions, collecting resources, and clearing out hostile camps. Completing these tasks will net your guild a Precious Base Material Selection Chest, which contains materials needed to upgrade your gear before the fight.

Strategy: Send a team of your guild members to handle these contracts while the rest of your guild prepares for the Grand Aelon fight. It's important to coordinate your guild's efforts to ensure maximum efficiency.

 Purification Efforts

In addition to Resistance Contracts, players are encouraged to engage in Purification Efforts, which are quests focused on cleansing the forest of corrupted creatures and gathering items that can be used in the final fight against Aelon. Completing Purification Efforts provides valuable buffs and consumables that will help your guild survive the encounter.

 Rewards and Event Benefits

Defeating Grand Aelon offers a wide variety of rewards, ranging from Precious Accessory Growth Stones to rare crafting materials and unique cosmetic items. The Growth Stones, in particular, are vital for upgrading your accessories and boosting your overall power. Additionally, participants will earn event tokens that can be exchanged for exclusive items, including powerful weapons, armor, and vanity items themed around the forest.

 Conclusion

The Grand Aelon event is a highstakes, highreward battle that requires careful coordination, strategy, and preparation. By understanding Aelon's mechanics, organizing your guild effectively, and completing key milestones such as the Resistance Contracts and Purification Efforts, you'll not only be able to defeat the Maddened Master of the Forest but also walk away with some of the most valuable rewards available in Throne and Liberty, such as a lot of Throne and Liberty Lucent and Items.

So, gather your guildmates, prepare for battle, and don't forget to follow MMOEXP to stay ahead of the competition! Good luck, adventurers!
