NBA 2K25 MyTEAM: Auction House Back and 4 New Modes

Aug-22-2024 PST NBA 2K25

Hi all, Good news.Today, major news dropped for NBA 2K25 MyTEAM, including the highly anticipated return of the Auction House, the introduction of four new game modes, a year-long reputation system, and much more. For those unfamiliar, MyTEAM is a card-collecting mode where players earn new player items and rewards through packs and boxes. The ultimate goal is to build a formidable roster and complete collections. Let’s dive into all the new features in NBA 2K25 MyTEAM.

NBA 2K25 MyTEAM: Auction House Back and 4 New Modes

The Return of the Auction House in NBA 2K25

The Auction House makes its comeback in NBA 2K25, allowing players to auction and acquire new cards using MyTEAM points to complete sets. The Auction House has been streamlined into a single menu for searching, buying, and selling cards. You can now directly search for your card in the My Auctions menu to determine its value before auctioning it off. As you earn more MyTEAM REP, your My Auctions capacity increases.

Note that all Auction House transactions will undergo a verification process to ensure the integrity of the mode.

Last year, the Auction House was replaced by the Player Market, which, while functional, didn't allow players to fully capitalize on the market to score big on valuable cards. Fortunately, the Auction House is back in NBA 2K25.

Four New Modes in NBA 2K25 MyTEAM

NBA 2K25 MyTEAM is introducing four new modes:

Triple Threat Park

Breakout

Showdown

King of the Court

Triple Threat Park: A New Gen mode where you can face off against friends or team up with them online. Triple Threat Park is the new home for both Triple Threat and its online variant, set in a remastered Rivet City Championship MyPARK from NBA 2K16. The park features nine courts, with four courts dedicated to 2-player 3v3 games and five courts for 6-player 3v3 co-op games. Rewards can be earned daily through wins, win streaks, and limited events. Triple Threat Park also features a Showcase Spot where players can open packs on a billboard for all to see, earning 2XREP for MyTEAM REP the first time they use it each day.

Breakout: A revamped single-player experience where players start in the middle of Breakout City and choose from various arenas to compete in. The goal is to "break out" of the game board by winning matches and earning rewards. The mode includes a mix of current, historic, and Era-themed games, with Triple Threat and Clutch Time modes integrated into Breakout. Players must navigate the board strategically, as losing three times means starting over. Higher difficulty games offer better rewards and tougher opponents.

Showdown: A new head-to-head multiplayer mode replacing Unlimited. Showdown features 13-card lineups and 4-minute quarters, with players progressing through 15 tiers by winning matches. The mode includes a checkpoint system to protect progress and a leaderboard that reflects games played between Tier 1 players. Every Friday, players can choose rewards based on their tier, with rewards refreshing each season. Success in Showdown also qualifies players for the King of the Court title.

King of the Court: An exclusive event held every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM PT, starting September 14th. To qualify, players must meet specific criteria in Showdown or Triple Threat Park during the week, or rise through the MyTEAM REP tiers. Players earn a Game Score based on performance, and after three losses, their final score is ranked. Rewards include packs, exclusive MyTEAM indicators, Perfect Release Cards, and even 1 Million VC for the top King of the Court.

Triple Threat Park will display your latest King of the Court event results on your player panel, keeping your achievements visible for all to see.
