EA Sports FC 25: Changes We Don't Want to See

Jul-15-2024 PST FC 25

Today, we're discussing the things we don't want in FC25. This is a spin-off of our "Things We Want" series, but today, we're focusing on what needs to be removed or significantly changed in the game. EA will listen and make improvements. If you have any suggestions for things you don't want to see in FC25, leave your comments below, and we'll feature them in future episodes.

EA Sports FC 25: Changes We Don't Want to See

Before we dive in, if you want to use the best players and dominate FUT, you're going to need a lot of coins. Check out MMOexp, which offers FUT 25 coins for trade. Use code exp32p for 5% off.

Redundant Trophy Celebrations

The first thing that needs to go is the repetitive trophy celebration cutscenes. Winning a cup competition should feel special, but right now, it often feels like you've just won a preseason tournament. I'd love to see a lot more variety and unique features for each trophy. For instance, winning the Champions League should include seeing the player engraving the trophy, similar to what we saw in PES 2017. It would also be fantastic to see the manager celebrating with the players, engaging with the crowd, and truly savoring the moment.

Currently, the trophy celebrations lack realism. Sometimes, even the reserve players don't celebrate with the first team. Moreover, there are no medals given out, which is a huge oversight considering EA themselves released an image of Real Madrid winning the Champions League with players wearing medals. FIFA 19 had a similar feature in a Journey cutscene where Danny Williams had a Champions League medal around his neck. Such details add to the immersion and should be standard in FC25.

Practice Arena Limitations

Next on the list is the limited functionality of the Practice Arena. The current settings allow for changing the camera angle, difficulty, and selecting sides, which is good, but it's not enough. You can't change the formation, make substitutions, or even change the stadium. If you want to switch teams, it's a cumbersome process involving profile settings and selecting a favorite team. This is not user-friendly at all.

In eFootball, changing teams and settings are much more straightforward. You can change teams, adjust lineups, and formations without leaving the practice mode. FC25 should adopt a similar approach, making the Practice Arena more convenient and user-friendly.

Generic Referees

Another aspect that needs improvement is the use of generic referees. While we have real faces for players, referees remain generic, which detracts from the realism of the game. EA should start by introducing real referees in the Premier League and then expand to other leagues. This would significantly enhance the visual experience and bring more authenticity to the game.

Currently, the game uses real referee names in Career Mode, but the actual in-game referees are generic. This inconsistency should be addressed, and real referee faces should be introduced to match the real names used.

Stagnant Manager Career Mode

Manager Career Mode also needs a major overhaul. While EA adds new features every year, they are often minor upgrades. We need significant improvements, such as more real-face managers across different leagues. Additionally, the ability to create and import custom faces for managers should be introduced. This feature was available in older FIFA games and would add a personal touch to the game.

Moreover, the Create-a-Club feature needs enhancements. The goalkeeper kits, for example, look subpar compared to outfield kits. EA should allow full customization of goalkeeper kits to match the quality of other jerseys.

Stadium Customization and Upgrades

Stadium customization is another area that needs improvement. Instead of picking from generic grounds and changing them each season, players should be able to create a stadium from scratch with full customization options. This feature is available in other sports games and would be a welcome addition to FC25.

Additionally, a shortcut save button should be reintroduced. Currently, saving the game involves navigating through multiple menus, which is inconvenient. A simple save button would streamline this process.

Return of Sponsors and Advanced Features

One feature many fans miss is the inclusion of sponsors. Older FIFA games had sponsors that provided extra funds based on performance targets. This feature should be brought back, especially for Create-a-Club mode, allowing players to place sponsors on jerseys and manage sponsorship deals.

Other features that should be returned include match ticket pricing, stadium upgrades, and facilities management. These elements make the game more engaging and add depth to Career Mode. For instance, upgrading training grounds, fitness centers, and club stores could provide various boosts and perks, enhancing the overall experience.

Conclusion

Several aspects of FC25 need to be reevaluated and improved. From redundant trophy celebrations to limited Practice Arena functionality, generic referees, and stagnant Career Mode features, there are plenty of areas where EA can make significant enhancements. By addressing these issues, FC25 can become a more immersive and enjoyable game for all players.
