Hey everyone! Welcome back to another guide for Dungeonborne. In this article, I'll be showcasing the best build for the Swordmaster class, which I believe is one of the top two classes for PvP, alongside the Pyroman. Whether you're new to the game or looking to optimize your gameplay, this build will help you dominate your opponents in Team Deathmatch, my favorite game mode.
Why Choose Swordmaster?
The Swordmaster class excels in both offense and defense, making it a versatile choice for various PvP scenarios. With the right build, you can dish out massive damage while sustaining yourself through life leech and damage mitigation. This build focuses on maximizing your damage output and survivability, ensuring you remain a formidable force on the battlefield.
Key Stats and Passives
Strength: 54
Your primary stat should be Strength, which you need to raise to 54. Hitting this threshold unlocks a crucial passive: your Psionic Blades will restore 30 lives per hit when dealing unblockable damage. This life restoration is vital for sustaining yourself in prolonged fights, allowing you to stay in the battle longer and outlast your opponents.
Dexterity: 35
While it's tempting to max out Dexterity, it's more practical to aim for 35 Dexterity. This grants you a passive that increases your critical chance by 50% for 5 seconds after hitting an enemy with Psionic Blades. This critical boost is significant, especially when you stack crit damage, making your attacks devastatingly powerful.
Stamina: 36
Stamina is another essential stat for this build. At 36 Stamina, you unlock a passive that reduces all damage taken by 50% while using Whirling Blade, your E ability. This damage reduction is invaluable in PvP, allowing you to engage multiple enemies without getting overwhelmed.
Will: Optional
If you have enough points, investing in Will can be beneficial. After hitting three or four shots with Psionic Blade, the skill's cooldown is reduced by 10 to 15 seconds. This cooldown reduction lets you use Psionic Blade more frequently, increasing your damage output and life leech potential.
Build Breakdown
1.Strength to 54: Unlocks life leech on unblockable hits.
2.Dexterity to 35: Increases critical chance after hitting with Psionic Blades.
3.Stamina to 36: Reduces damage taken while using Whirling Blade.
4.Will: Optional but beneficial for reducing Psionic Blade cooldown.
Gearing Up
When gearing up, prioritize items that enhance your key stats and provide beneficial secondary perks. Look for gear with the following attributes:
Life on Hit: Essential for sustaining yourself during fights.
Critical Chance and Critical Damage: Boosts your damage output significantly.
Stamina and Strength: Helps you hit the necessary stat thresholds.
Additionally, pay attention to the secondary perks on your gear. Perks like Shield Wall and Physical Penetration can greatly enhance your survivability and damage.
Gameplay Strategy
Early Game
At the start of the match, focus on collecting swords and building your stats. Aim to get your Strength and Stamina to their respective thresholds as quickly as possible. This will give you a strong foundation for the rest of the match.
Mid Game
As you acquire more gear, start looking for items that provide Life on Hit and increase your critical chance. Engage enemies strategically, using your Psionic Blades to deal damage and restore health. Remember to activate Whirling Blade in crowded fights to benefit from the damage reduction.
Late Game
By the late game, you should have most of your desired gear and stats. Focus on maintaining your momentum by continuously engaging enemies and collecting swords. Use your Psionic Blades and Whirling Blade abilities to dominate team fights and secure kills.
Team Deathmatch Tips
Positioning: Stay aware of your surroundings and position yourself strategically. Use obstacles and terrain to your advantage.
Timing: Time your abilities carefully to maximize their effectiveness. Use Psionic Blades when enemies are not blocking and Whirling Blade in crowded fights.
Team Coordination: Communicate with your team and coordinate your attacks. A well-coordinated team can easily overwhelm the enemy.
Example Match Breakdown
In one of my recent matches, I was able to showcase the full potential of this build. I started by quickly collecting swords and focusing on my key stats. By mid-game, I had reached 54 Strength, 35 Dexterity, and 36 Stamina, making me a formidable force on the battlefield.
During the match, I engaged the enemy team strategically, using my Psionic Blades to deal significant damage and restore health. My Whirling Blade ability provided crucial damage reduction, allowing me to survive even when outnumbered. By the end of the match, I had a high KD ratio and had dealt over 16k damage, showcasing the insane potential of this build.

The Swordmaster class, with this build, is a powerhouse in Dungeonborne's PvP modes.
